Kathleen M. Jacobs

Kathleen M. Jacobs is an award-winning author. Kirkus Reviews noted that Honeysuckle Holiday, her debut YA-novel, “provides particularly lush descriptions … of a Southern girl’s 1960s childhood.” Her work has appeared in national and regional publications and numerous literary journals. She has written a number of opinions for newspapers across the country. She has twice been chosen Runner-up Best Author of WV. She was the 2017 New River Gorge Winter Writer-in-Residence. She has studied at the Sewanee Writers’ Conference and the Iowa Writers’ Summer Workshop. She holds an M. A. in Humanistic Studies and is a former educator on the college and high school levels. She divides her time between the Appalachian Region and New York City.
